Instructions
Follow these step-by-step instructions when using Seal-All:
- To open, puncture the seal with the pointer cap. Keep the tube upright until ready to use. Avoid squeezing the tube to force opening. Remember to replace the cap after each use.
- For use as a sealant, apply directly to a clean, dry surface. Hold firmly until the product sets. Additional coats may be applied, ensuring each layer dries thoroughly. In cases of leaks on objects under pressure, tape over Seal-All with Duct or masking tape. Additional coats can be applied over the tape.
- When using Seal-All as a contact adhesive, spread the coating on each surface to be joined together. Allow it to harden for 5-10 minutes, then press both surfaces together. Seal-All hardens through solvent evaporation, forming an immediate bond that is challenging to reposition after both adhesive-coated surfaces are in contact, and sufficient pressure is applied to create full contact.
- Seal-All will set in about 2-3 minutes and reach full cure in 2-6 hours. Keep in mind that cure time increases with lower temperatures and decreases with higher temperatures.
- For UV resistance, paint over Seal-All.
- Ensure the threads at the neck of the tube remain free of Seal-All residue.
- Store unused Seal-All at room temperature with the cap tightened.
